It is very important that children are provided with outdoor learning opportunities to explore and learn. At CWA outdoor learning is not some extra curriculum activity, but a regular experience. Learning outdoor not only develops children health, but it also helps them to make relationship with the natural world and offers them experiences that are unique to outdoors, such as direct contact with the weather and the seasons.
Autumn season was our learning theme for the last two weeks and to conclude our learning, we went to Dushanbe Botanical Garden. Children had a lot of fun exploring the nature and at the same time revising autumn vocabulary. Different types of activities were held in the park, starting from reading storybook about acorn, singing nursery rhymes about colorful leaves and filling autumn hunting checklist. But the most fun of all was making pile of leaves and jumping in it. Our learning did not stop at the park, children were engaged in autumn craft already in the classroom. It was an amazing day and children just loved it. Sometimes it’s the simple things that bring the most fun, like jumping in a crisp pile of autumn leaves!
